Studio Update Week 16

As this is the final week to produce everything for the exhibition and presentation, I will be dividing my progress report according to the different items we need to produce.

App & App videos

I created what I assumed was the final version of the app which I have edited the flow of the lobby system.

From that I had send one of the videos to Zoyee to see if it was ok. However, Zoyee mentioned that the app looked very awkward on the video

Hence I decided to rework the layout of the app to include a phone background at the back.

This is the new layout of the app, I also added additional annimation for the loading screens

When I send the videos to Zoyee, she did asked me to remove some of the white edges of the background. Unfortunately I cannoth mask a rounded corner and then save it as a mp4 file, no matter how much effort I tried using various editing software. In the end the solution I suggested to Zoyee was just to crop into a rounded rectangle as there is nothing I can do to resolve this. Below are the videos I send her:

Slides

From last week, I did up my portion of the slides as I felt that this was important for the presentation slides for the A1 Board as it contains the reasoning and context of our project. Below is the slides I did (It is a newer version, any change I will state later)

We had some consultation with our leaturer on the slides. For the slides on the survey analysis, inially I had wanted to include a picture of TImezone arcade to illustrate our field research and to also show the fact that no one was visiting. But it was pointed out that it was misleading and this photo can be taken at any time of the day. So a different method to highlight this issue should be employed.

From there we did the edit together as a team and the rest of them worked on their given slides.

A1 Presentation Board

Onto the A1 Presentation board, initially Celine did up the design. We had wanted to do a service blueprint but we decided to just showcase the journey through the app. The service blueprint would still be made later on for our Behance website. But Zoyee felt like the design didn't fit with the branding of the app and presentation. Hence Zoyee decided to edit the layout. Additionally, I decided to add some more of the research and gap to make it more compelling. This was what I reformated and wrote which Zoyee reformatted into the board.

From there we continue to do somemore reformating, making use of the solution layout that Celine used as well as expending on some of the research and context. This was the final design of our A1 Presentation Board.

And this is how the presenatation board was when printed out and this alongside our mascot foam board and mascot stickers were submitted on Friday.

Exhibition drawing & Write up

In that vein of the exhibition, we also had to draw up how we wanted our items displayed. This was what I sketch out for them

But the committee for the exhibition asked us to limited our mascot foam board to the podium. Celine send them the updated photo that she redraw.

We also did a short write up which I wrote a first draft for and Zoyee edited it.
