Sem 2 Product Sketching
Week 1
In the first lesson after the semester holiday, we were given a warm-up exercise. The first step was simply to draw without lifting your pen a doodle. From there I had to mark out the points that the line intercepts with a bigger dot to highlight it. Then, between any 2 points that are connected by a line, draw freehand curves on both sides of the line. Do that for everyone and you end up with a unique piece of art. I think for myself I did struggle a bit with this. I don't know why but I think didn't get it and wasn't loosening up. But I think I eventually got the hang of it.

After that he got us to write out the alphabet so that we can see what handwriting would be good for labelling my own drawing.
Secondly, he also got uss to some up with unique headers to label our sketches

Lastly, she got us to learn how to draw 3D arrows to illustrate how our sketches are suppose to work, It was honestly difficult at first to visualise how they were suppose to flow but once I got the hang of it, it was super fun.

So from there I had to draw 12 different type of 3D arrows shown at the right.

Week 2
For our second lesson, we were asked to sketch baby bottles. I think the shape of it was relatively easy to sketch out but the nipple of the bottle was a surprising struggle to get the proportions right. We were also asked to try and style the bottle using hatching line and different line weight.

After that we were asked to style the baby bottle, taking inspiration from an animal. The animal I chose was a blue bird. the goal was to get the bottle to resemble the animal without making it just making it the animal. It was an interesting exercise and it took me a wile to figure out how to do it but I think I got to something that was close. We also had to draw one with how to assemble the bottle. It allow us to implement the arrows we learned last week.
Week 4

In the first half of the class, we were given this tape dispenser to sketch out. I have a weird habit of drawing things too big. Getting the proportions right was a bit difficult but I think I manage to get there. Also drawing smaller let's me draw better circles.
After that we were asked to take out our computer mouse to sketch it out. My mouse has a more cute silohette and I could draw it well enough in a perspective that showcase all its most important features. But because of it silohette, I can't really draw a dynamic perspective of it. So I started to sketch other mouses. The Razor mouse was a tad bit harder to draw but it gave a better dynamic perspective to it. I think in terms of drawing, it is important to get the right angle or the mouse will not look right.

Week 3 Make up
The lesson on week 3 was cancelled due to CNY so we shifted it to Friday afternoon on week 4. It was a short lesson and we were just tasked to either draw a hairdryer or a power strip. I was mainly drawing the power strip. Even though it is a relatively simple shape, it made it much easier to see the flaws of the shape and the perspective. getting the right perspective was tricky, also I accidently flip the features of the power strip at one point but I corrected it in my other drawing.

After that, I did a quick attempt on the hairdryer. Hairdryers are pretty fun to draw and I think got the basic shape right before the class ended.
Week 5
For this lesson, we were asked to bring an item to the class to sketch out. I brought my air humidifier from home that doesn't work to sketch. I first drew out the orthographic view of my humidifier. Drawing that first made it easier to draw the perspective view of the humidifier.

After that, we had to make variations on the design. We had to do it in 3 ways: geometric (no curves), organic (no straight lines at all) and an in-between of the 2. For the first 2 styles, we just needed to style them from their cartographic sides. This is because it is harder to style and draw something in perspective in an organic and geometrical way. Only the last one do we need to draw it in perspective. This week I just started drawing the first prompt.
Week 6
Carrying forward from last week, I continued to draw the geometric styling of my humidifier. I think that I was drawing them a bit fast and wasn't really considering how it would look in 3D. And I think even thought it was drawn with straight line. In 3D, they won't be possible. So I had to simplify the way I think and actually consider the side and top view.

After drawing many of the geometric ones, I moved on to drawing the organic ones. This was relatively easier as my item was already a very organic item so it was easy to draw. I just needed to be careful about my proportion and sizing.

Week 9
For this week's lesson, Chun Beng went through with us what we needed to submit for week 11. They are listed below:

1) "Warm-up" Exercise + Arrows + Handwriting
2) Basic Cylindrical Object Sketching and Styling (Milk Bottle Design)
3) Advance Object Sketching (Min. 2 of the following)
- Tape Dispenser
- Computer Mouse
- Water Flask
- Hair Dryer (Old Philips)
- Power Extension
4) Final Sketching and Styling Exercise (Consisting of the following)
- 2D Orthographic Views
- 3D Perspective (the best/hero angle)
- Angular/Prismatic Styling in 2D
- Organic/Curve Styling in 2D/3D
- 3D/2D Free-Form Styling of min. 10 sketches (how would it will look like if it is designed by Naoto Fukasawa or Dieter Rams)

For today, I just worked on the 3D/2D Free form styling exercise.
Week 10
Today, I continue working on the 3D styling of my object. It was suggested that I tried styling it if it were designed by naoto Fukasawa or Dietar Rams. Below are my 3D stylings.
